Carbon FLOW Tour information for Utah Leg Stops July 2012

The 2012 Carbon USA FLOW Tour is about to make it’s next journey to the beautiful state of Utah! The leg of the tour will make 2 Prime stops at FlowRider Utah on July 26th, and Provo Beach Utah on July 27th, followed by a Pro/Am stop at Lindon, Utah on July 28th. 

Here is some important information for those stops:

Flowrider Utah: July 26th, 2012

Who: The nation’s best flowboarders and bodyboarders including two-time defending World Champions Sean Silveira (Flowboarder) and Nick Nguyen (Bodyboarder).

What: The nation’s best will compete for top honors at FlowRider Utah, Utah’s first indoor simulated wave, for the CARBON FLOW (Flowboarding League Of the World) Tour USA. The media is invited to attend the competition as well as the official practice, for a sneak peak the day prior to the competition.

Contestants will 360º, ollie and kick flip their way to victory as they battle for more than  $5,000 in cash and prizes in Jr., Men’s, Women’s, Master’s and Pro divisions. FlowRider Utah is also the only venue on tour that commits to a $600 prize purse to the Open Female Flowboard division. Local and national contestants may pre register by Wednesday, July 25. There is a competition entry fee of $35 for amateur and $40 for pro divisions.

FlowRider Utah will host the seventh stop on the national tour, which is part of a multi-event segment of the FLOW Tour in Utah.  Winners from this FLOW Tour event will progress to the National Championships at Fantasy Surf in Florida on August 11 and 12, 2012. The best of the best will then represent the USA at the FLOW International FlowRider Championships in Ogden, Utah on October 12 and 13. It is the first time the world competition will be held in the United States.

Official practice: Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 11 to 1:30 p.m.
Competition: Thursday, July 26, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
