US Ambassador Congratulates Wave Loch for Royal Caribbean FlowRider

Dear Mr. Lochtefeld,

I had the pleasure of representing the United Stats Embassy in Finland for the October 28 delivery of the cruise vessel “Allure of the Seas” to Royal Caribbean International by the shipbuilder, STX Finland.

The vessel, with a crew of 2,100 and up to 6,360 passengers, is home ported in Fort Lauderdale and joins its sister ship, the “Oasis of the Seas” offering cruises in the Caribbean. Construction of the vessel took 12,000 man-years and involved more than 900 suppliers from across the globe.

The Ambassador joins the U.S. Commercial Service in congratulation your firm for its export and inclusion in this impressive vessel. The U.S. Commercial Service is the U.S. government’s chief export promotion agency and we were in contact with the builder before and during the construction of both vessels, the Oasis and the Allure. It is our mission to have included as much U.S. Content as possible.

We wish you and your company continued success and look forward to another opportunity to supports your overseas business.

Respectfully,
Nicholas Randal
Regional Senior Commercial Officer
Counselor for Commercial Affairs
U.S. Embassy Helsinki
